Bolder Pathway School serves a diversity of students of all ability levels and specializes in providing customized education in an inclusive, year-round setting. Our staff also works with you and your child’s therapists to ensure we can support social-emotional needs along with academics. With classroom sizes of 4–6 students, we are able to focus on current ability levels of each student and modify curriculum as needed. Bolder Pathway can accommodate all learning disabilities as well as speech impairments, vision and auditory needs, sensory and processing concerns, and emotional/behavior issues such as anxiety, bi-polar, and depression.

Desiderata School’s mission is to support and foster young minds using a variety of techniques, resources, and teaching styles. Students are taught concepts and subjects in a variety of ways to ensure understanding, which builds self-esteem and confidence in the classroom. We have a non traditional learning environment and small group sizes. Desiderata School’s method is similar to many home school models, but put into motion in a small, private school setting. We can support home school students/families by providing a variety of single courses (pay per course) and curriculum options, including electives.

Hillside School is a leader in the development of innovative teaching strategies for students with learning differences and serves as a community resource about learning and the well-being of children. Using evidence-based practices, Hillside provides specialized instruction enabling students with learning differences, such as dyslexia, to reach their academic potential and become capable and confident learners. The school serves students in first through ninth grade and features:

  • classes of four students,
  • specially-trained faculty,
  • a half-day program using multi-sensory approaches,
  • individualized instruction where students advance at their own pace.

A morning stroll through Tara finds our students busy with calculus, conducting chemical experiments, debating Aristotle’s Poetics, and learning about Rembrandt. In the afternoon, they’re in rehearsal of The Fantasticks and classes in stage combat, fitness and yoga. Later, a wondrous sound fills the air: the all-school choir singing Mozart. Tara offers a rigorous college-preparatory Waldorf curriculum, with a focus on the performing arts and direct experience of culture and history through travel. Our graduates leave with purpose, high ideals, and curiosity for learning and life.
